Summary: Callum comes home after one of his trips to Faerie and he's not doing very well.
Notes: Gosh, it's been a while. Hopefully this will be the start of writing for this comm again.


All the words spill from his mouth like water, like blood from a wound. He talks and talks and talks, never pausing to catch his breath, only taking short, sharp gasps when needed.

He’s not panicked, not exactly, he’s just raw, raw from Faerie, from fighting from the frenzy of living between worlds.

Callum’s eyes are wide and manic as Tess comes to collect him from the hospital. He tires to play it down, to pretend that he’s okay but it’s hard. He bites his tongue and tastes blood, he feels his heart slam inot his chest at the sight of her.

All for you, all for you and Ethan.

She wraps her arms around him, pulling him close, pressing a kiss to his cheek. She’n shushes him, tells him it’s going to be all right. He doesn’t believe her but he never does. It’s hard to believe someone when you’ve seen the way the worlds bleed together.

She takes his hand as they get in the car and they drive home.him babbling like an idiot and her sitting there quietly, letting him talk, letting him get everything out.

“I’m so tired,” he finally says when they pull into the driveway.

“I know, sweetheart,” she says, her tone filled with regret, with the need to make this better. “I’m sorry.”

At least Tess is there to support him, even if she can't make it better. I think that counts for something.

Tess tries to take care of everyone. Then she is...not stupid exactly but she is questionable and runs off and tries to play hero and breaks everyone's heart.

Ahaha, no, not so much. In the end, Tess makes a Poor Life Choice and breaks everyone's heart. I'ts...quite flail inducing.

I'm glad he has Tess for support for the moment.

Yeah, Tess is a big part of his life and the reason he's not completely nuts. I need to get back to this story sometime soon. I might see about doing that in the next couple of days.
