You did, don't worry! So much so, I was BAFFLED as to what on earth I had written that could have given you that impression, but after going through it twice, I think it was presumably Leaira and this bit: but Mother and Father, not yet departed with her uncle on their fatal voyage.
And I'm impressed that you remembered the Leion and Leaira piece after all this time, but it's ok, they just met at her relatives' house when she was little (he is friends with the Portcallan Modelens; she is related to them). He isn't her uncle, and we've seen him in a piece in the 'current' time.
Anyway, this poor guy! Something very fucked up is happening and I can't wait to find out what. And hey, Leaira's plan did work...
