“Nourish” + Aquarius
Wandering the land for many cycles, the first woman, Ha-Fal, became familiar with the animals and with the plants. Each was like a daughter or son or child to her and she named them all in accordance with her heart’s voice. It pleased the Mountain Mother who watched from her peak of stone. At times, Ha-Fal would turn towards the mountain, but the Mountain Mother was so high up, she was difficult to see.
So, in time, Ha-Fal grew lonely and unhappy. The animals did not please her, nor the plants. She did not sleep at night, sitting around the campfire that kept the darkness at bay under the guard of the stars, remembering the sea of flames from which she herself had been born.
One night, under the watchful eyes of the stars, daughters of light, Ha-Fal grabbed the last piece of glowing coal from the fireside and swallowed it whole, so that her heart may burn like the Mountain Mother’s had burned upon creating the world. For five days, Ha-Fal lay in agonizing labour and the coal grew inside her to the size of a man. With a scream that made the mountain quiver, Ha-Fal birthed the first man in the world, called Ha-Kal which means ‘the masculine aspect’ and held him to her breast, tenderly.
Until the following cycle, they lay entwined in the dust, then Ha-Fal, the woman, and Ha-Kal, the man, covered the embers of the campfire, and they began wandering the world together, and they would beget a horde of children. As the sun moved across the sky many times, and the moon would change her face again and again, Ha-Fal and Ha-Kal filled the land with peoples, and the peoples would fill the land with cities and human constructions.
The Mountain Mother was pleased. As she was the mother and the companion of Ha-Fal, Ha-Fal had become both a mother and a wife of her own beloved, and all people in the world therefore carry both Ha-Fal and Ha-Kal in their heart blood.
Thus, the first man in the world was created, and such was the purpose he lived to serve.
