Staring upon the beautiful night sky, a girl sighed.

A shooting star twinkled in the sky.

"... I wish I wasn't so lonely..." She sniffled, pointing at the star. "I want someone to spend time with here..."

Crash!

She jumped.

"What was that sound?!" She asked nobody in particular, before running over to it. Somebody might be hurt! She thought.

The sight that greeted her eyes was... it was the remains of a spaceship with- someone's stuck under it!

"Can... someone... help, please?" whimpered a green skinned girl with purple hair and- antennae?!

"I'll pull you out!" The girl grabbed the other girl's wrists and pulled, and she popped right out!

"Thanks..." The alien said after getting to her feet, rubbing her hand against the back of her head. "What's your name?"

"Barbs! It's short for Barbara!" She smiled for a bit, and then it fell. "... People don't like that I don't shorten my name to 'Barbie' or something. People don't like a lot of things about me..."

The alien pat Barbs on the back. "My name's Bugsy!" She answered. "I'm surprised a cute girl like you isn't some sort of princess!"

Barbs blushed. "Ah... you really mean that?! It's not just another prank?!" She stammered."Well, in that case- do you wanna look at the stars together! I know all about the stars!"

"Of course- I'd like to hear more about this planet, after all."

So they held hands under the starry sky, and Barbs talked all about constellations and how stars were made...

"Barbs?"

"Yeah, Bugsy?" She still had blush on her cheeks.

"I was wondering if..."

"Yeah?"

"... Can we... do what this planet calls... 'a kiss'?"

Barbs let out a cry in flustered shock, before stammering out an answer. "S-Sure- Of course! If-If you really w... want to..."

Bugsy put her gloves to Barbs' red cheeks and pulled her in for a kiss.

It was the most magical moment in her life. The kiss left her breathless even once they had torn apart.

"... Bugsy..." Barbs let out a tear of joy, before tightly hugging her. "I love you! I wanna be with you for the rest of my life!"

"I..." Bugsy let out a tear of joy herself. "I do too..."

The next morning, the two teenagers woke up together, still holding hands.

"... Hey, can we talk... about something?" The emo girl asked, tapping the tips of her fingers together.

"Of course, Ripper!" The pastel girl smiled. "What do you wanna talk about? If anyone here's still treating you badly, just say so!"

"Well... I... I..." Ripper looked to the side in embarrassment- she was never the one for eye contact, but- and suddenly turned, stood on her tip toes, and kissed her best friend on the lips. "I-I-I really really like you, Jackie!" She yelled, pale face red with blush. "And- And I might have just-"

"Ah..." Jackie had a mild blush on her face. "Truth is, I like you quite a bit, too!" She winked, and Ripper could have sworn her heart skipped a beat. "Seeing the real you instead of what everyone else sees... I would be honored to be your girlfriend!"

Ripper, too flustered to speak, was currently cooling down by instinctively flapping her hands. Jackie gave her some time to calm down to speaking levels.

Ripper took a deep breath. "I... Does that mean we're dating now?!"

"Yep!"

"I, uh, thank you! For everything! For getting me friends and for being my girlfriend and-" She was breathing a bit too fast as she spoke, both hyperexcited and a bit overwhelmed.

"Hey, it's ok if you need a bit of a break!"

Ripper nodded and ran off, presumably to play video games to calm down and text Jackie on discord later.

"Can you hold me, sweetie?"

"Yeah. Something wrong?"

"Had a rough day at work. You know how Frederick is. Always saying creepy stuff about us."

"Something hit a bit too hard?"

"Yes. But the good news is that he got fired for it, at least."

"... That's nice. Means you won't ever have to see his stupid face again."

"Yeah..."

Once, there was a witch who lived in a cabin, and one day, she met a beautiful dryad.

"Hi there..." The witch blushed, red ontop white skin and chocolate star-shaped freckles. "I don't think I've seen you before..."

"I am the Love Tree." The dryad spoke. "But you may call me Angela."

"I'm Starry..." The witch answered. "But, uh... I live in that cabin over there." She pointed. "With my cat."

"Then, Starry, take my hand." Angela offered, and Starry, shaking, accepted.

They walked, hand in hand, to a cherry blossom tree that seemed to have the bark be shaped like hearts.

"This tree is me. And I am it." Angela spoke. "Keep it fed, and I can live. Keep me fed, and the tree will live."

"I won't let any harm come to you..." Starry mumbled.

"If two people carve each other's names into the bark of my tree," Angela said. "Then they'll be happy together forever- may it be in romance or friendship." She let go of Starry's hand and handed her a small carving knife.

"I- Wh?"

"Starry... I want you to carve my name into my tree." Angela smiled. "I see we will both be living here for quite a long time, and I'd like to guarantee it's a happy one."

"Alright..." She carved it in and handed it over.  "Angela..."

Angela smiled, and craved in a '+ Starry', before revealing her stomach, where 'Angela + Starry' was tattooed on. "Before you worried or anything." She added. "I wouldn't let people do it if it hurt me."

"Ah..right..." Truth is, she was starting to get worried, but... Carving something into the wood of a tree can be just as harmless as a tattoo, right?

"Now, Starry." Angela smiled. "Let's go on over and lay down together at your place, ok?"

"Alright." Starry offered her hand to Angela, and she took it. "... I love you."

"Already, dear?"

"Yeah..."

They were smiling, hand in hand, the whole walk home.
