Joy has a policy. If she wouldn’t be friends with someone, she won’t date them.
Sex is different- she’s fucked all kinds of people she’d never date, because sometimes a girl just wants to get laid. But if she can’t picture herself swapping ex stories with someone, or critiquing each other’s outfits, or sitting on a park bench shooting the shit, that person is not for her.
This does mean that she’s friends with most of her exes. That weirds some people out. But hey, if her life freaks someone out, then they couldn’t be friends, ergo...
