Summary: Ahava is always there when Duncan needs her.

Notes: Ahava and Duncan have been best friends since they were four.
The divorce will be final next week. Duncan lies in bed in Ahava’s spare room and wonders what the hell he’s going to do next.
They’ve worked it out, him and Leila. It’s as amicable as this kind of thing can be, and they’re both going to do their best for their daughter. But G-d, it still hurts, especially now, when he’s got nothing to do but think about it. His beloved wife, crying, turning away, her hands over her face…
The door squeaks open. He keeps his eyes shut but Ahava knows he’s pretending. Of course she does, she’s his best friend, she knows everything about him and she knows what he needs, just her arms around him and a kiss to his forehead and the truth.
“I’m here. I’m here. Always.”
He’s not sure how he’s going to survive this. But he absolutely couldn’t do it without Ahava.
