Name: shadowsong26
Story: All in a Moment
'Verse: Feredar
Colors: Cerise #21. Inspiration, Lapis Lazuli #17. covet, True Blue #25. The border between friendship and love
Supplies and Materials: graffiti (Lilith Faire Day 3: Main Stage), photography, tapestry (True Blue + novelty beads), frame, novelty beads

Characters: Isshiri, Telri
Warnings: Oblique references to Isshiri's complicated family and how he lost his leg.
Notes: Constructive criticism welcome, as always.
There’s a flash of certainty--Isshiri isn’t exactly sure what sparked it, because this morning, packing up camp, is just like any of the past few dozen--but something about her smile, or the sun caught in her slightly-tangled curls, and he knows.
He’s in love with Telri.
He probably has been for a while, thinking back, but…
He’s in love with her.
It’s not something he ever expected to feel. He has a lot of friends, but he doesn’t usually get close to people. There’s his sister, and some of the friends he made during the War, living and dead, but she’s the first--the first he’s felt close to in this way.
All of those feelings spill over him in a moment, taking his breath away, and his first instinct, like it so often is, is to do something impulsive. To take the leap into something new.
To tell her.
And then his mind catches up with his heart and…
He knows his place in this world. He knows what it has cost him. What it might cost Telri, who is vulnerable in a way that Mel and Taz and the rest never were.
His leg hurts in a way it hasn’t in years.
He hides his heart behind his smile and finishes packing in silence.
