It wasn't that Nolani had ever entered into any of her relationships anticipating the end. Despite her track record, she was still endlessly optimistic in love. But with Lonura, it was different.
She could actually picture the two of them growing old together.
That had never happened with the others. No, she hadn't anticipated things ending, but she hadn't anticipated a future, either.
And now--and now, after years of drifting from bed to bed and heart to heart, she had finally found Lonura. She had finally found where she belonged.
With Lonura, her heart had finally found a home.
