Notes: I need to showcase Adam and his family, but because of current RL situations I'm feeling the Shepard Family and what they're going through. Now in this piece Seth is a child and is currently staying with the Winchesters. Takes place after the first piece with Claire. This is called Strength. Enjoy!

For a demon to lose his father, so young Seth continued to move forward. He made sure to be a very polite houseguest, to play well with Adam and his siblings, to get along with their staff, go to school, and practice with shadows every day. However, with all the strength that Seth displayed he was still a child, who lost his father and wanted his mother.

One day after dinner, Seth threw a tantrum. He walked in the living room to watch t.v. with Adam, Kia, and Angelique when he saw Adam in Bernard’s lap. He thought back to the times Axel held him in his lap as they watched a movie as Claire worked on one of her craft projects.

Seth’s vision blurred with tears as he started shaking. He didn’t hear Kia or Angelique call his name as he started to cry. Shadows flew around the room, as his cry grew louder. It stretched out to the hallways, curled around the staircases, and covered the walls in the room. Seth hit his fists against his hips as he cried harder.

“NO FAIR! NO FAIR!” Seth yelled as shadows started to shake the bookcases.

Bernard placed Adam on the couch with Kia. He muttered a spell for a protection shield around the children in the room before he turned to Seth. He walked slowly to him. “Seth, listen, I--”

“NO! IT’S NOT FAIR! NOT FAIR! I WANT MY DADDY! I WANT MY MOMMY! WHY IS SHE GONE? SHE’S NEVER COMING BACK IS SHE?” Seth stomped his feet against the floor.

“She’s coming back. She has to set things in place so you and her can live together again in a nice big house. Don’t worry, she’s coming back.” Bernard continued to ease over to him.

Seth shook his head and bit his lip as shadows shook more items in the room. “NO SHE’S NOT! SHE’S NOT! SHE’S NOT! SHE’S GONE LIKE DADDY! I WANT MY DADDY!” He stomped his foot after each statement causing the shadows to rampage harder.

Bernard walked over and knelt in front of him. He wrapped his arms around Seth and pulled him close. Shadows danced around his clothes and curled around his body in a tight grip that would affect Bernard if he wasn’t such a powerful demon

“Seth, I know it doesn’t seem like it now, but things will get better. Your daddy is in the Second Great Plane, watching over you. Your mother loves you more than anything in this world. She will return and you’ll be with her again. She gave you her pendant which is a sign that she’s coming back.” Bernard rubbed his back. It’s also another way Axel is protecting you.

Seth looked up at Bernard with a mixture of hope and disbelief in his eyes. “Really? She’s coming back?”

“She is,” Bernard nodded. “I give you my word as the Winchester Clan leader. I swear this on my pendant, as well.”

Seth looked from Bernard to his pendant and back to him. The shadows in the room started to disappear as he calmed down. He sniffed and wiped his eyes with the back of his hand.

  “It’s h-hurts,” He mumbled in Bernard’s shirt.

Bernard tightened the hold around Seth. “I know,”

Seth cried into Bernard’s shirt. Adam, Kia, and Angelique joined in the hug, trying to wrap their arms around him. Seth felt the warmth in the circle and started to calm down further. He expected to get in trouble for almost destroying the living room, but a reprimand didn’t come. He looked up at Bernard who grinned in return.

“Is there anything we can do for you?” Bernard asked.

Seth looked around at Adam, Kia, and Angelique then turned back to Bernard. “Can we have ice cream and watch a movie?”

“Of course,” Bernard smiled. He gave Seth another hug before going off to the kitchen.

“Come on Seth. Let’s go sit on the couch.” Adam smiled.

“Okay,” Seth nodded as Adam, Kia, and Angelique led him over to the couch. They placed him in the middle as they surrounded him. Seth settled against the couch as he turned to one of his favorite movies. He wiped his eyes with the back of his hand and tried to enjoy the movie. Seth didn’t mind watching the movie with his new friends. However, the movie didn’t feel the same.

Seth gripped his mom’s pendant and tried not to think about it.
