Story: Polyfaceted; title of this is The Great Gods and the Origins.
Summary: Creation.
Notes: I suppose you would say this is timeless. This was weird but really fun to write.
When the Source was yet young, the six Gods existed in solitariness. This was not to Their pleasure, for no one enjoys being alone for long, and so They each searched for someone to give Them companionship.
Stelara had a collection of gemstones, and Her best way to attract anyone who might Be was to scatter Her gemstones in the Nothingness. Thus, Stelara formed the constellations, the great signs above. Stelara saved the greatest of Her gems, a yellow topaz, and placed it close to signal to any others who might exist.
Such was the greatness of this yellow topaz that its brightness stretched across the Nothingness, alerting Ancjo of Her presence. With the gemstones lighting His path, He made His way to Stelara, and in each other They found Their first true companions. As a symbol of Their bond, Ancjo, a collector of sturdy, plain stones, combined the three most prized in His collection; this He placed next to Stelara's yellow topaz.
Thus, with this true companionship, solid and steady, our Earth joined the gemstones in what once was Nothingness.
The newness of Stelara's yellow topaz and Ancjo's stones together brought to them Brava, She of the softest of breezes and most fierce of winds. Brava brought neither stones nor gemstones, but She carried with Her strength such that neither Stelara nor Ancjo expected from something that seemed so insubstantial as air, and Brava seduced Them with Her power.
Thus They became the first Three, and in time, They brought to be Ciela, She of the blue sky, Their beloved Daughter.
The strength of the Three attracted, in pair, Koralo and Fiero, who brought the gentleness and raging of the sea and the inexorable steadiness of the river current. Their bond was as strong and firm as the Three, but All knew that there could be more, that new partnerships could be formed to the benefit of balance and harmony.
Koralo and Fiero separately came to Ancjo, each laying Himself upon the Earth. Koralo and Brava, too, came together, Their love bringing forth Marajo, He of the waves, Their much-treasured Son. Thus They knew multiplied love, and it was good and right.
These first Five, with the brightness of Their love and Their bonds, attracted to Them finally Fajra. She brought another newness to Them, the bright boldness of lightning, that which gave bright beauty like that of Stelara's yellow topaz. Fajra and Ancjo came together, Their love burning where they struck together. So too did Fajra and Stelara come together, the burning beauty of Stelara's topaz matching with the blinding brightness of Fajra's lightning.
Thus They were bonded in love and in joy.
It was this love and this joy that first created the Spark of Life, the newest of all the newness, fragile and powerful at once. When the Six looked upon such a treasure, one that had sprung up from the vast Nothingness, They were humbled and awed despite Their collective power. They vowed to nurture and protect something so precious, for They were wise, and knew it was a gift.
Thus, in time, Ancjo, Fiero, and Fajra brought forth their precious Daughter Rozabela, She of the beautiful flora, to decorate the Earth with Life.
It became apparent that Life needed more than the flora; Life needed movement more than Brava's wind whispering among branches and leaves and stalks could provide. The Son brought forth by Brava, Fiero, and Koralo, Katido of the racing and prancing and preening fauna, proved Himself to be Rozabela's equal and dear friend.
Thus the Earth teemed with Life, in all its colors and forms, but the six Great Gods found it yet incomplete.
By this time the Source was no longer young, grown and strengthened by the love of the Gods, the newness and wonders that now filled what was once Nothingness, and the Spark of Life itself. It was with the Source and the Spark that the Six combined Their powers, creating Life of complexity and knowledge. The Great Gods called these People.
There were many People, with as much variation and difference as the Gods Themselves, and the Great Gods imparted on these People their wisdom of love, nurture, and balance.
The People proved to be much like the Great Gods. They learned fast that love is better spread than contained. The People's love created Children, and this brought more love to the People and great joy to the Great Gods that Their Creation did as was intended. The People treasured their Children as fresh newness on an Earth maturing, and they protected and guided their Children into their own maturation.
It was true that the People had to eat of the flora and the fauna, and this grieved Rozabela and Katido, but the People also learned to plant back from what they took and to make use of all an animal so as not to grieve their Gods without need, and this came to please Rozabela and Katido. So too did the People learn that love of each other and of the Gods pleased the Gods, and they sought to pass on love of each other as they sought to replenish all Life.
Thus the Great Gods were content with Their Creation, as the People continued to thrive and grow, and so it shall always be: to love and nurture your fellow People is to love and nurture as the Gods Themselves.
