First Light 8, Olympic Gold 7, Color Party 16: Memory
Author: Kat
Title: Memory
Story: In the Heart - EPIC PIRATE AU
Colors: First light 8 (Faience), Olympic gold 7 (summer), color party 16 (Aeneous)
Supplies and Materials: Pastels (prompt by novel_machinist here), miniature, brush (sylvan), acrylic (a hot bath), novelty beads ("Take care of all your memories. For you cannot relive them." - Bob Dylan), eraser (EPIC PIRATE AU)
Word Count: 100
Rating: PG
Summary: The last summer of her childhood.
Warnings: none
Notes: This takes place quite specifically in the summer of 1628. Summer is eighteen.
Summer was already an adult, of course, but it felt like the last summer of her childhood, that long sleepy summer before the duke was murdered. It was hurricane season in the Caribbean so Ivy and Aaron were home, and they'd ramble together in the woods outside of town, fetch wood and flowers and come home to a hot bath in front of the fire. There was work to do, but never too much. There was food to eat, and water to carry. They were safe.
She was happy then. She knew that. What she was now...
Time would tell.
