Notes: Constructive criticism welcome, as always.
Kit's bondmate is special in every way. She's an aytpical griffin variant; he's never seen another like her, with the cat-bits in front and the bird-bits in back. Plus, few in the Islands have feliform bondmates, but her coloring, beautiful and unique, all green and blue, sings to him like the sea.
He comes home after a hunt and she purrs and rubs her head into him, before twining her long, feathered tail around his ankles. :Did you have fun?:
"Always."
:What did you bring me?: she asks, eyes bright and tail twitching, as he carefully puts this hand in the box with the others.
He smiles at her, slow and languid. "Got a treat for you, darlin'." He takes the carefully-wrapped package out of his coat and sets it on the ground for her.
She attacks it, tearing it open with claws and teeth, exposing the fiend's eyes. She bats them back and forth for a few minutes, before delicately piercing one. She sucks out the juices and eats the fleshy bits in a few delicate bites, nudging the other into her corner of his cabin for later.
:Delicious,: she purrs in his mind, and he smiles.
