Summary: Most of the time it's fine.

Notes: I went to a funeral and then I wrote this.
It's like this.
Most of the time it's fine. You haven't forgotten, you could never forget, but it's settled in the back of your mind. You can feel happy, even blessed. You can remember her without pain.
And then it hits you like a fist to the heart; today she would have been sixteen. Or today she would have graduated high school. Or today she has been dead for ten years.
You never thought it would happen to you. You never thought you would outlive your child.
Most days you're fine.
It's the days you are not that you remember.
