Notes: So uhm...I did this thing. I did this thing with a manor and some courtiers and there are others I could write about but these four have been existing in my head on and off for a bit now and yes. HO hum.

Henbane and Dogbane walk into the party with pinstriped suits and flowers in their hair. Henbane's hair is shorter this time, cut shoulder length with strawberry blond curls while Dogbane wears hers long, straight and auburn.

The smile at each other, arms linked, identical cornflower eyes glinting with excitement.

It was going to be a fun night.

They weren't the only ones working though, they knew Iris was here as well as Hyacinth and the four o them has plans try and get out at close to the same time, if things permitted.

Henbane kisses her sister on the cheek and then releases her, darting into the crowed and, in a moment, she's lost in the sea of party goers.

Dogbane shakes her head and then lets herself start drifting through the crowd, talking idly, dancing here and there, and then dancing with whoever strikes her as interesting.

Every now and then she'll catch sight of her sister, or Iris and Hyacinth, all of whom are having a great time, and laugh a little to herself. The four of them did always manage to have the best time at parties, even work related ones, and she's not surprised that tonight isn't any different.

Dancing with strangers for a while longer, she then moves towards Hyacinth, smiling and offering her hand to him. He takes it, grinning and pulling her in for a few moments.

"Hello, stranger," he says. "How's the party treating you?"

"Not too bad," she tells him, doing a few quick steps so that she's leading instead of him. He arches is eyebrows at her but lets hr all the same.

"Not bored yet?"

A shake of her head. "Not yet. There's good company, good food and the chance to watch people drink themselves blind. What's not to like?"

He chuckles, bending down to kiss the corner of her jaw. "You bring up a good point"

"It's what I'm good at."

Something moves out of the corner of her eye and she sees Iris heading in the direction of the stairs, a man on his arm.

"Looks like your other half is having a good time as well," she murmurs at him.

"He's always been good at not being alone," Hyacinth laughs, shaking his head. "I suppose I should find my entertainment for the evening, shouldn't I?"

"You and me both." She presses a kiss to his cheek and then releases him, letting the music carry her body into the crowd again.

She's always been an excellent dancer but she's an even better actor. She lures people in, seeming shy and uncertain, lets them teach her a thing or two, and laughs as they tell her she's pretty, or sweet, or whatever they feel like telling her at the time.

Her target is just like the rest of them, full of himself and thinking that he can sweep a shy, uncertain girl off her feet.

Dogbane is happy to play innocent, happy to be sweet and nervous the entire time they dance and even as she is lead up the stairs and into a bedroom.

And yes, even as he kisses her, even as his hands move to touch her, stripping her of the suit piece by piece.

And when she does strike, her fingers wrapping around the knife and driving it through him with a quick and easy motion, she's still wearing an innocent expression.

The twins find each other first, Dogbane waiting outside the car in the spare clothes she had brought as her sister approaches, sliding inside and shoving her clothes into the bag the four of them would dispose of later. Next came Iris, flushed and grinning and both of them knew he had a good time. Last was Hyacinth who grinned at them while the other three piled into the back of the car.

"That was fun," Iris says, laughing a little as Hyacinth pops the cork on a bottle of champagne that had been waiting for them this entire time. "We don't do parties nearly as much as I'd like."

You don't do parties," Dogbane corrects. "We do them pretty regularly."

Iris pouts a little. "And Sosa's leaving me out of this? I'm wounded."

"So wounded," Hyacinth says, leaving in and kissing him before putting a glass in his hand. "WE'll see if I can't make it better when we get back."

Iris grins, winking at the twins. "And this is why I whine," he mouths before Hyacinth attempts to glare at him and fails miserably.

"You two are adorable," Henbane informs, taking the glass she's offered and having a drink. "Ridiculous but adorable."

Iris bows as much as he is able to in the confines of the car.

They get back with no issue, the for of them having polished off the bottle and all pretty content with themselves. The men hardly make it into the manor without Hyacinth pushing Iris up against a wall and kissing him hard against the mouth.

"Oh boys," Henbane says, terribly amused by them. You are so predictable." She starts up the stairs to her room.

Dogbane lingers for a moment, watching them from the bottom of the steps. They were pretty to look at, all lean limbs and hunger between them. She doesn't stay too long though, shaking her head and heading up the stairs.

Henbane is standing outside the door to her room, her clothes abandoned save for a button down shirt. "Lonely?" she asks, her head tilting. "I saw the way you were looking at them."

Dogbane shrugs. "I don't know."

Her sister reaches for her hand, pulling her close and resting her fingers agaisnt her waist. "You want me to help?"

Dogbane considers the options before her, either a night alone or a night with her sister, and she nods, offering the smallest of smiles. "One day you're going to have to stop taking care of me all the time, you know that, right?"

"Maybe," Henbane says, her hands sliding up Dogbane's body and starting to unbutton her shirt. "But it doesn't have to be tonight."

She smiles, nodding and wraps her own arms around her sister. "Yeah, not tonight."

What a wonderful energy to this! Man, that stabbing and the sexy, fun energy with just a hint of sadness spiced in. Loved it!
