Lapis Lazuli 11: Party Time
Author: Kat
Title: Party Time
Story: In the Heart
Colors: Lapis lazuli 11 (encroach) with paint-by-numbers (Summer thinks you're too close, okay?)
Supplies and Materials: Frame (Summer's in med school), graffiti (Lilith Faire Village Stage: 22, Taylor Swift)
Word Count: 120
Rating: PG
Summary: Summer in a club.
Warnings: violence.
Notes: Summer has several friends I haven't mentioned. Here's one!
"I don't like it," Summer says, when she and Candace slip away to the bathroom.
Candace pauses in touching up her makeup and meets Summer's eyes in the mirror. "Too loud?"
Too loud, and too dark, and too crowded-- she keeps having to jerk away from people getting too close to her. But Candace doesn't want to know all that, so she just nods.
"Yeah, it's full of hipsters tonight anyway," Candace says, closing her compact. "Want to go home and watch Netflix until three AM? We can order takeout."
Summer smiles. "Yes, please," she says, and hooks her arm through Candace's when they leave the club.
It's good to have new experiences, but she's glad this one is over.
