Notes: I should probably post the stuff I wrote, huh. Same female character as in Killers, but again, literally all I know about her. I am going to have this beautifully creepy song stuck in my head forever.


The train whistles, long and lonely, curling around her spine. Terrible things are about to happen. The thought makes her shiver happily.

She flicks the lighter in her hand-- open, shut, open, shut-- thumbs the revolver's trigger in her other. Such a long time she's been at this; such a very, very long time though she's still young. It never gets old, though.

The train is coming. The tracks are vibrating now. Open, shut.

She waits, breathless. Soon now. She can see sparks from the wheels.

The train roars by, drowning the gunshot. In the trees, cicadas moan.

Open, shut.
