"Hey, Mari, look!"
Mariko looked up--Teri was holding a half-eaten jawbreaker. "...okay?"
"It's an eyeball!"
And now she couldn't unsee it. "Oh, God, gross!"
She pouted. "You're no fun."
Mariko arched an eyebrow. "Oh, we're doing that, are we? 'Cause I have an army of gummi worms and I know where you sleep!"
Teri shrieked. "Fine, fine, I surrender!"
Mariko giggled and leaned over to kiss Teri. "Seriously. No more creepy eyeballs, okay?"
Teri kissed back. "No more creepy eyeballs," she promised, then studied it. "I'm gonna take a picture, get it framed."
Mariko threw a pillow at her.
