Octarine 7: Doughnuts
Author: Kat
Title: Doughnuts
Story: In the Heart
Colors: Octarine 7 (There were a few seconds of total silence as everyone waited to see what would happen next.)
Supplies and Materials: Frame, pastels (why not?), glue (Your dogged tenacity is your not-so-secret weapon today as you remedy an uncomfortable situation that is creating its share of stress.), novelty beads (this gif)
Word Count: 115
Rating: G
Summary: "I bought the goddamn doughnut."
Warnings: none.
Notes: There was an otpprompt a while ago about your characters fighting over the last donut. This happened.
"I bought the goddamn doughnut," Felipe said.
It wasn't a very good argument. Zack said so. "We're a family, we share a food budget, and I have to talk to elementary schoolers today so I deserve the donut."
"Yeah," Felipe said, "but it's still my doughnut."
"Oh, fuck you," Zack said, and the argument devolved into a wrestling match on the kitchen floor, which only broke up when Summer came to stand over them, a puzzled look on her face.
"What are you doing?"
"Fighting over who gets the last..." Zack trailed off, looking up at her.
Summer blinked innocently, still chewing. "I'm sorry," she said, once she'd swallowed. "Were you going to eat that?"
