Stars and Stripes 3: Temptation
Author: Kat
Title: Temptation
Story: In the Heart -- Fairy Tale AU
Colors: Stars and stripes 3 (“There's an old saying about those who forget history. I don't remember it, but it's good.”)
Supplies and Materials: Graffiti (Midsummer Night's Dream prompt), novelty beads (We must leave at once... before we, in turn, are forgotten.), glue (Exercising self-restraint works to your advantage now.), eraser (Fairy Tale AU).
Word Count: 125
Rating: G.
Summary: Olivia faces temptation.
Warnings: none.
Notes: Sweet baby Jesus I'm behind on reading. Catching up this weekend, my darlings!
"Come with us."
It's a fairy voice, light and tinkling, and when Olivia turns in place it giggles bright as bells. "Not there!"
She turns again and they are suddenly there, small ones of spun cobweb and mist dancing dizzily on the breeze, boys and girls big as her staring at her across the stream. The one in front extends a hand, smiles and speaks again: "Come with us. Come to Fairyland. Come and see the dancing, human girl."
Oh, dancing. It's been so long since she danced.
She would lie if she said she wasn't tempted. But she is already a stolen child. She has already lost her home. She cannot lose her world too.
It costs her everything, but she shakes her head.
