Heart Gold #28, Lawn Green #8, Sapphire #13
Name: shadowsong26
Story: Arrival in The North
'Verse: Feredar
Colors: Heart Gold #28. Love builds bridges where there are none. - R.H. Delaney, Lawn Green #8. sunny skies, Sapphire #13. sunstone
Supplies and Materials: photography, frame (991 FY), pastels (my current gen + romance card N4 "test/exam"), novelty beads, chalk
Word Count: 142
Rating: G
Characters: Taz, Dallu
Warnings: None
Notes: Constructive criticism welcome, as always.
It's summer again when they reach Dallu's home. Taz hasn't seen a sunset in days. The light is overwhelming and disconcerting and everything is clear and white and cold.
There's a flash across the bow of the small boat they have now—such a little thing, just enough for the two of them and their supplies.
Taz half-watches Dallu's response--a return flash of light and a whispered conversation--resting her hand on the cool wood. The depth and coldness and ever-presence of the water surrounding her are almost as disorienting as the never-ending sun.
Dallu's hand rests on her shoulder--comfortingly warm--and she looks up at him. Prove that I belong here. She kisses him, soft and tender, and in a moment the air feels lighter around them.
They pass through the gates in the ice into another world.

They're heading to where Dallu's people live, something almost no one ever gets to see. Taz is lucky. ^^
