Kirana had come to her in hysterics and told her he'd been captured, and would be an example, and she ran to save him.
Isshiri's head was mounted on the gates of Feredar, scarred and miserable and only hours old.
Lonura had followed her, and now took her hand and tried to pull her back, tried to hold her and ease her pain and rage.
She pulled away, unable to hear her beloved. She summoned all the fire she could, then walked through the gate, her brother's congealing blood dropping on her shoulders
And then, she let the fire go.
